Desmond was born in Malaysia but raised in Singapore from age six. Fifteen years later, he returns to study at UUM and finds himself a stranger in his own birth country — his Malay broken, his memories distant, his sense of identity fractured between two places.
Shot on a Nikon D5100 as the first-ever short film produced, this was written, directed, storyboarded, and post-produced entirely solo under tight academic deadlines. Received significant audience response on social media praising its technical and emotional execution.
